A PRACTICAL WORKSHOP
for the SHOULDER |
|
The shoulder is a complicated and fascinating joint often described as
“Mysterious” in the literature. Shoulder symptoms can puzzle and
fool even the most experienced practitioners. When surgeries and traditional
treatment options fail patients are often told “there is nothing more to
offer them”. As a result many shoulder patients are left with
limitation of motion, persistent pain, and less than optimal outcomes.
Therapists can be remarkably effective with many difficult shoulder
cases that have not responded to surgery, drugs, injections and traditional
therapy approaches.
Learn A Unique Manual Therapy Approach & A Systematic Treatment
Philosophy That is Effective for Even the Most Difficult Shoulder Cases.
When pain and limitation of motion persist there are 5 key restrictions that
are frequently the cause. The shoulder responds rapidly when we release
these restrictions & restore the stability. Results are often amazing
& the techniques are painfree & gentle.
From frozen shoulders, unrepairable RTC tears, SLAP lesions, MDIs, and
multiple surgeries to non-surgical management of the problem shoulder, we
can offer our patients a higher level of expertise; more than just
traditional therapy.
This seminar will teach you a systematic method of manual therapy techniques
using 5 key positions to release the
5 types of shoulder restrictions in order to effectively restore
range of motion often in just 1-3 visits. A systematic method
of shoulder taping will be presented utilizing 5 key taping strips
that are reliable, and reproducible, and can provide immediate
pain relief. A systematic program of exercises including 5
strengthening exercises is presented to restore flexibility, posture
and stability as we release the restrictions. Shoulder
pain patterns, evaluation
and differential
diagnosis will be discussed to sharpen your integrative skills, and
allow you to become more effective and efficient in your problem
solving and planning for your treatment interventions. Finally, an
opportunity for you to bring your problem cases for discussion and
ask questions about managing the difficult shoulder.

TARGET
AUDIENCE |
|
This seminar is for therapists and practitioners who treat multiple shoulder
diagnoses, stiff shoulders of all etiologies and other challenging shoulder
cases. This is a practical workshop combining lecture and lab
designed to enhance manual therapy and taping skills, exercise selection and
problem solving ability for the shoulder.
Do you enjoy manual therapy?
Would you like to learn techniques
that can turn those stubborn cases around? Are you willing to think a little
differently about the shoulder?
Interested in becoming an EXCEPTIONAL
Manual Therapist for the shoulder?
Or building your practice with an impressive specialty niche?
Shoulder patients will pay out of pocket for rapid pain relief and
restoration of function without additional surgery.
This is an intermediate to advanced seminar with an
emphasis on manual therapy. Participants should have a basic
understanding of shoulder anatomy, biomechanics, and traditional rehab
approaches.
Participants should dress to participate in lab for both days allowing
access to the shoulder girdle and spine. Please come prepared so both
you and your lab partner have a positive learning experience. You may feel
free to bring a portable table to the course for lab and please bring
a scissors for taping lab.
