THE PARTRIDGE METHOD

of Manual Therapy for the Shoulder

The Partridge Method of Manual Therapy for the shoulder is a unique & systematic approach of manual therapy techniques developed by Dora Partridge, PT  to restore accessory joint mobility to the shoulder.  It is designed to release the 5 key restrictions that tend to develop in problem shoulders in a non-painful manner.   The method is based on identifying the restrictions, or barriers to movement, isolating the barriers by using the scapulo-thoracic & gleno-humeral components, and then creating a force directed into the barrier to release the restriction.  The direction of force is often rotational in nature, thus reproducing the rotational movement necessary for optimal shoulder mobility.

The treatment techniques are gentle & highly effective & when performed correctly can restore long standing limitation of motion often in just 1 to 3 visits.  Pain relief is often achieved after the first treatment.

What makes this approach unique is not only in identifying the overlooked restrictions and using rotational releases, but each treatment position allows for a progressive release of the joints, interspaces and capsule from waist level to full overhead range of motion.

Learn The Partridge Method™ of the 5 key restrictions, the 5 key areas to release in the 5 key manual therapy positions, & start enjoying the challenge of those difficult shoulder cases!  The Method is introduced in MDS-I and emphasized in greater depth in MDS-II.
